Red Wine
L.F.R. Light Fruity Red.
Try it slightly chilled. We know, chilling a red sounds wrong. But L.F.R. isn’t that kind of red. Our bright, easy-drinking blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay and Rondo is built for fruit, not grip: low tannins, no astringency, and soft summer flavours from the first sip. Put it in the fridge for 20 minutes before pouring and you’ll see exactly what we mean.
More Details
L.F.R. pours a clear, bright ruby with a pink rim — already inviting before you’ve smelled it. The fruit is upfront and generous: fresh strawberry and ripe cherry on the nose, with a deeper plum note on the palate. Tannins are deliberately kept low, so the wine feels soft and easy rather than dry or grippy. The finish is clean and light. Pinot Noir makes up 80% of the blend and drives the aromatic character; Gamay adds brightness and lift; Rondo brings colour and a touch of dark fruit depth.
L.F.R.’s lighter style makes it more versatile than most reds. It works well with grilled meats — lamb chops, chicken thighs, a good burger. Alongside a cheese board it really comes into its own, especially with soft cheeses like Brie or a mild goat’s cheese. Also worth trying with tomato-based pasta, charcuterie, or a picnic spread where you’d normally reach for rosé.
Winemaker's Note
We designed L.F.R. to be the red you reach for when you want something genuinely fruity and easy, no ceremony, no decanting, no waiting for the right moment. The Pinot Noir does the heavy lifting: that's where the strawberry and cherry character comes from. Gamay adds freshness and lift, and Rondo brings a touch of plum depth and colour. Serve it slightly chilled, somewhere between 11 and 15 degrees, and it really opens up. A lot of people are surprised how much they enjoy a chilled red. That's the point.
