Experience Yorkshire’s vines and good times. This isn’t a stuffy lecture about soil pH. It’s a proper day out in the heart of Yorkshire. Join us for a relaxed, behind-the-scenes look at how we turn our grapes into award-winning wines, right here in Nun Monkton.
Whether you’re a wine geek or just enjoy a good glass of white on a sunny afternoon, we promise you’ll leave with a smile on your face (and a new favourite wine).
What to Expect (The Itinerary)
- The Welcome: Start your visit the right way, with a glass of our signature Sparkling Wine on arrival. Relax in the Winehouse or on the terrace and soak up the view.
- The Tour: We’ll take you out into the vines and the winery to show you exactly how it’s done. You’ll hear the story of how we grew from a hobby into one of the UK’s most exciting vineyards. No question is too silly, ask away.
- The Tasting: The best bit. We’ll guide you through a generous tasting of three of our still wines (White, Red, and Rosé). We don’t just pour and run; we’ll talk you through the flavours and the stories behind each bottle.
- The Nibbles: Wine needs food. We pair your tasting with a plate of proper Yorkshire nibbles; think cheese, meats, crackers, olives and chocolate all designed to complement the wines perfectly.
Light Lunch or Afternoon Tea
- Make a day of it. Don’t rush off. Add a little extra Yorkshire hospitality to your booking and settle in for the afternoon.
- Light Lunch Platter (+£12.50) A hearty selection of locally sourced meats, cheeses, pork pies, and salads. Perfect for a relaxed lunch before or after your tour.
- Yorkshire Afternoon Tea (+£20) A proper spread. Fresh sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, and a selection of cakes. Served with tea or coffee (or more wine, if you fancy).
Getting Here
- Pool Lane, Nun Monkton, York, YO26 8ELWe are tucked away in the beautiful village of Nun Monkton, just off the A59 between York and Harrogate.
- By Car: We have plenty of free parking on-site. Just follow the signs for the vineyard once you hit the village.
- By Taxi: We recommend pre-booking your taxi home, as signal can be patchy in the vines!
