A lighter style of Yorkshire red, and proud of it. Latimer is made from 100% Rondo grapes grown on our vineyard. It pours a striking dark garnet that looks more serious than it is. Easy-drinking, low on bitterness, and absolutely built for an uncomplicated evening.

We’re not trying to make a big, bold red with Latimer. That’s not what Rondo does best.
What Rondo does brilliantly is colour. Latimer pours a deep, dark garnet that stops people in their tracks. On the palate it’s softer and fresher than the colour suggests: ripe cherry upfront, a hint of dark berry, and a whisper of spice to finish. The tannins (the drying sensation you sometimes get with a red wine) are low, making this the most approachable red we make.
These are young vines, and you can taste that freshness. If you normally find red wine a bit much, start here.
Winemakers Notes
Latimer is a wine about approachability. Rondo gives us that beautiful deep colour, but we're letting the fruit speak quietly: fresh cherry, a little spice, easy tannins. These are young vines and this is wine that reflects that honestly. Sometimes that's exactly what you want.
