We have brewed this coffee stout using a blend of 4 malted barleys, pale ale malt, crystal malt, chocolate malt and roasted malt barley, adding First Gold hops during the boil along with some lactose sugar, then added ground coffee beans to the fermenter to produce a smooth stout with roasted coffee flavours with a residual sweetness.
