There is nothing we would like more than to see you at the vineyard, especially around Christmas, which is normally a magical time in the wine house. Because there is so much uncertainty over future restrictions, we have had to make a decision on our tours and when they resume. We hope to be able to open in some form in the coming few weeks once restrictions relax.
Please watch our social media for more information once the UK government gives advice in early December.
Online Beer & Wine orders – when can we order before Christmas?
We are continuing with our online beer and wines sales, and we really appreciate the loyalty you have shown us by shopping local. Online sales for Christmas delivery will continue up to the 18th December for local deliveries including click and collect. And up to the 15th December for national deliveries.
When will winter tours and tastings resume?
We will be pausing tours and tastings until March 2021. We think this is a sensible decision based on the current uncertainty. We will be sending information to customers who have booked tours between November – February asking them to rebook in March and April 2021. If you have a voucher and have not booked yet, you will be able to do this from early next week.
Summer 2021 tours and vineyard picnics – when can I book?
Bookings for summer tours May – October 2021 will be available on our website early next week. We will have 3 tours a day on a Wednesday and Saturday. Because of changes to our online only bookings system, we will only accept specific Yorkshire Heart and Uniquely Local vouchers from May 2021.
Vineyard Picnics have been a huge hit this year. They offer an outdoor experience with social distance. Picnics will start early May where you can picnic near the vines. This will be available to prebook on a Friday and Sunday from May to October on our website.
New for 2021 – Cellar Door Tasting
From May 2021 onwards we hope to open the wine house on Fridays and Sundays for booked in and walk–in cellar door tastings (subject to availability). This is for people who don’t want to be part of a tour, who can have their own wine and beer tasting experience. The café will also be open during these times so you can complement the tasting with Gillian’s home cooked small plates and afternoon teas.
If the sun is shining, you will be able to sit near the very same vines of the wines you are tasting.
What about the Hearty Festival in 2021?
We hope to be able to have our annual Hearty music festival, we are planning it a little later than previous years, in August. Of course, we will confirm this once we have clearer guidelines for outdoor events in 2021.
